The documentary focuses on how texting while driving has caused two specific accidents. The first of the two accidents involved a young boy who is now paralyzed. The other stories are told by the two young men who caused the death of three people who were distracted by texting while driving. The people on the video are not actors. Aside from a few crime scene photos, the people on the video are the actual victims or perpetrators who were allowed to tell their stories at their own pace.
Videos and other campaigns of awareness such as this are a good start in the efforts to educate people about the dangers of being distracted while driving. However, distraction doesn’t have to be by texting. Video chatting on the phone or talking on the phone, or playing with the radio or a GPS while driving can cause anyone to become distracted- it only takes a few seconds.
